Ebel was established in 1911 by husband and wife founders Eugene Blum and Alice Levy. The two united their passion of technology and elegant sensual designs to create a timeless approach to watch making. A year later the two step out and launch the first Ebel wristwatch which is later followed by much industry recognition along with many awards. A high level of recognition and praise continued throughout the years where the company received industry accolades leading to the establishment of the brand utilisation by the Royal Air Force (British Army). In later years Ebel featured one of the first wristwatches with automatic movements taking the industry by storm. With the addition of Blum’s grandson Ebel becomes a global presence in watchmaking in 1970 leading to a host of new designs.
In 1980 Ebel establish their signature ‘The Architects of Time’ resulting in the introduction of new designs such as the Chrono-Sport collection and the Beluga collection (which you can find on shadestation.co.uk). Later the Beluga collection is introduced in stainless steel boasting a sparkling design using diamonds which saw a first in the watch industry (as seen on shadestation.co.uk). In recent years Ebel have introduced luxury designs with a renovated take on the timeless brand announcing the Ebel Onde and X1 which are also seen on shadestation.co.uk.
